February 16th, 2009

Let’s take a look at the basic “personality” of each of the 5 elements:

Metal is a positive Yang element and commonly used to suppress the negative earth energy which brings about sickness and setbacks.

Wood evolves from yin and yang and represents all living plants. The Wood element can motivate, inspire and ignite passion within the home and is important in promoting development and encourages the flow of creative energies.

Water is often viewed as a important element as it is a symbol of prosperity, wealth and abundance. So proper use of the Water element can significantly impact the opportunities that comes your way.

Fire is the most yang of the 5 elements and it represents energy and passion. It is considered the most powerful of the five elements and is symbolized by the color red.

Earth encourages a sense of closeness and togetherness and represents qualities of stability, permanence and home.

The 5 elements of feng shui

February 9th, 2009

The basis to having good house feng shui is to balance one’s environment so that we are living in harmony with the elements of feng shui. In feng shui, it is believed that everything in the environment is imbued with movement and emits energy or Qi.

The 5  elements are :

Metal
Wood
Water
Fire
Earth

Balancing these 5 elements of feng shui is essential as each element has it’s own “personality” and role in balancing the Qi within the space. This is a very important aspect of feng shui as Qi is unique and constantly changing and will relate directly to whatever is within the space.

House Feng Shui

February 2nd, 2009

The feng shui principle uses wind (feng) and water (shui) to enhance prosperity, general well-being and good health.

Contrary to popular belief, feng shui is more than mere guidance to redecorate a home or office, and it’s not a religion based on superstitions.

For centuries, the Chinese enhance their house feng shui by examining the flow of  “Qi” or energies through the house and enhance the flow through modifications of the layout and orientation of the house.

Good house feng shui is achieved by having the right orientation, correct energies flow and appropriate feng shui colors that allows the inhabitant to live in harmony with the environment.

It’s an entire philosophy based on improving one’s environment and creating the harmony needed to lead a rich, healthy, and peaceful life.

Beside the orientation of the house, feng shui products can also be displayed around the house as feng shui cures to counter bad feng shui.

Displaying feng shui products in auspicious or power spots can also activate and improve feng shui in the home.

The art of feng shui is not an exclusive one and anybody can benefit from it. Feng shui is all about living a good life. You need to have the balance. You need to have the peace. And feng shui can give you this.
