Using feng shui colors

April 12th, 2009

Paying attention to color in your environment, at home and at  work can have great effects on your state of mind and emotions.

Bright, strong and bold colors can be used in rooms where you prepare to face the day such as in the kitchen or where you have breakfast.

Using colors that are too dark can depress the atmosphere

Use a warm, dark color scheme in rooms where you want to relax such as in your bedroom or living room. Warm colors include deep greens, or earthy browns, and work well in these rooms.

A word of caution when dealing with feng shui colors is avoid over-doing it. Even if a color is good, it does not mean that more of such color is better. In fact, using too much of a bright color can have an opposite effect by creating tension or anxiety.
